Wrapping Up

My transition from Senegal back to the US has been progressing well. I spent New Year's Eve in College Town with my amazing friends catching up on last semester and attending some very fun functions. I'll head back for the spring semester next week. Today in church, I realized how much I missed the French mass after four months. While I was in Senegal, I struggled through the prayers, but now I find them more familiar than their English counterparts. Especially the Hail Mary - one only need attend a rosary circle to get that one down pat! Later today, while jogging, my mind just went into French mode, with a few Wolof phrases thrown in for good measure. I'm not taking a language class next semester, but will have plenty of practice time thanks to some wonderful friends and mentors at school. Thank you all for following my journey and pictures can be seen at: http://picasaweb.google.com/steven.groene/SenegalFall2007. Jamm ak jamm (peace and peace),
